t's usually a pretty big production around here when we bring on new staff members: We advertise open positions, review candidates, announce the names of our new staffers, etc.
But that wasn't the case with our latest staff addition. Fernanda Bottini has been someone we've known online for at least a couple years now. She's a music journalist in Brazil that's written for U2 sites there in the past, and has shared news tips, tweets, etc., with us -- usually before we heard the news from any other source. So when she became available recently, it was a no-brainer to invite her to join our news team.

We also added two new forum moderators a few months ago. That was announced in our forum, but I think we failed to share the news here on the main site. Their names are Beth Austin and Drew Rogers.
