WD Hard drive Home Edition, The parameter is incorrect?

I have WD external hard drive My Book Home edition 1.5 TB. Whenever I plug in to my computer, it freezes and after about an hour later, it shows me an error message saying that the parameter is incorrect. I tried with three different computers(2 with Window7 1 with Mac), happens all the same.
My computer also recognizes it as a local disk, not a portable or external disk.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

    Hi, Would be nice to check if it is problem with enclosure, cables or HDD... Plug HDD directly to MB without enclosure [if you are using enclosure] Change cables... If you can see HDD in My Computer or Disk Management and if you can easily access all your data, then HDD is OK but rest is not... I am a little bit worried why it states that you have 100% of free space on the disk but you are saying that you are already have data on it... How many partitions you have on that HDD??? Only one???? Maybe it is corrupted...
