Volvo problem with check engine light?

   There is absolutely something wrong with the car. If the check engine light will not stay off, there is a fault in the emissions system that needs attention. I would find another mechanic and find out what fault code is stored in the computer. The code will give you a general idea of where the problem is. Just resetting the light will not cure the problem.
