I have a few bottles of Virginia Dare wine, still full. The label is stamped with 11 1 NY and 2 19 19. I am assuming that means it was bottled in 1919. I am having difficulty finding any information. Are these worth anything for me or it is just a waste to me please help me out from this because i am my self not a drinker and want to earn some thing out from it.

As we know that Old is Gold, so this wine is certainly of some value if no very much. Although this was a very popular wine in the U.S. back in the 19th and early 20th century, but fine wine collectors deal only in wines made from the Vitis vinifera grape of the Old World. Somehow, an unopened Virginia Dare wine sells for no more than $35 at auction. These wines were made from the Scuppernong grape, a type of muscadine native to North America. Considering that there are wines of the year 1919 and still not opened is something absolutely remarkable. Keeping in view the element of risk, one thing is for sure that no one would possibly be buying such an old item for the purpose of drinking. However, there are some people who just have this hobby of collecting old and antique item. There is a big chance that such a person may go on to buy this item at a desired price. Nevertheless, it is advisable to contact an auction store as it may be easy selling over there with some possibly good commission.
