there is a way you can use a flash drive. But there is only a certain type that works and it is the SanDisk cruzer crossfire but i don't think they are at stores like best buy or walmart. But there is one store that i had just checked. Go to http://www.gamestop.com/ and type in in the search bar: flash drives. You should see a cruzer crossfire and it is only $4.99! I am going to buy 3!
you can't use a usb flash drive the reason is that it wont recognize it as a memory unit unless it has miDDi files on it which is media ( music, photos, videos) so just buy a memory unit all you need so that you won't have to recover your gamertag is a 64mb memory unit, it's not so expensive.
whenever i go to my friends house i just brng my hard drive with my GT on t. if ur tryin to both play with ur GT's at the same time, u cant use a usb flash drive. only microsoft memory units work
if your looking to use a external HD/USB STICK as another HDD it wont work. You can save anything to it. You can use it for media and put movies or whatever from your pc to the hard drive/thumb stick, then plug it into your 360 and play movies and all from it. But you cant use it as storage for profiles and game saves
