Need information on tire belt

Hi

I have Honda accord 2004 (now 61,000 miles only and all tires have been replaced at 32,000) and today a service advisor at Honda dealership told me that I have to replace all 4 tires on my auto because of tire belt. However, while driving I do not experience any problem with steering and tired are not wearied off at all.
I am not sure what to do and just planning to take to another shop to get second opinion. Please advice. And if there is a problem, why do I have to change all 4 tires? What are the consequences of driving with shifted tire belt?

Hello there

It is unclear why the Honda Dealer advises you to replace your tires. I cannot understand that and I think the comment shifted belt ....well..... Belts do not shift and the term is used to try to describe a lot of things including irregular wear - which is caused by misalignment and aggravated by insufficient tire rotation and insufficient inflation pressure.

But at 29,000 miles, you are approaching the point where the previous set was removed and perhaps wear IS an issue. You know Honda cars are quite complicated in terms of tire belts.

Another opinion is a good idea. Share more ideas if you have any. I would love to answer all of your questions. Feel free to share ideas. I am always happy to help you in this regard.
