Hi Jacqueline,
We were purchasing a timeshare, and my fiancee lost his job. We we unable to continue making the payments and eventually lost the timeshare. We did make contact with them to explain our situation. The problem is that we are now trying to re-fiance our home, and our credit report lists the foreclosure as a mortgage foreclosure regarding the timeshare. Is this correct? Should not it be listed as a timeshare mortgage???? That one word is the difference between getting the re-fi or not.

After reading your entire story I think that it might be right the addition of single word has changed your credit standing and now you need to get some sort of legal assistance immediately as now you are again planing for a new home.

First of all you need to contact the Real State agent and discuss same things with him. After consulting with a real state agent also pay visit to a solicitor or layer to clarify things about the previous mortgage.
Further more now you are in position to mortgage a new home so you need to think fast before you are out of job again. And i think you should contact the same real state agent through which you purchased your timeshare last time.
Currently it is not easy to purchase your own home and mortgage is the helping hand to such people who are planing to gain possession by paying fixed amount per month of be the owner of the home at the end of mortgage.
Now you need to gather all the things mentioned above. Clear the things which are there left in the previous deal of yours and then your credit limit will automatically be changed and you will be able to purchase a new home for you.
Best of luck. And keep working hard.
