Question:

There's something wrong with the battery of my new LG GW520 phone.

I charged it up last night and it ran out of battery and now it lets me switch it on then asks for my pin code which i provide, accepts it then switches off. It then switches itself back on and repeats the same as before. I can't turn it on! I've checked it's not my sim card and that works fine in another phone, so I'm pretty sure it's the battery.

hi, LG has had a lot of trouble with their lithium ion batteries in the past 12 months. The memory component was not built correctly and assumes the battery has reached memory save/stand-by mode. If your phone is still within warranty then return it A.S.A.P. The best advice i can give you is buying a blackberry or samsung phone. They both have overly impressive battery life considering the power sapping capabilities of their more advanced programs and also internet use. You can however replace your current battery, but the chance of another defunct battery is likely. I hope this helped. Cheers, TEX215
