Hi, dead-excellent, 100% condition, it’s worth about 75-80% of its new street price as a used guitar. I’m not familiar with this exact model designation, but I think it’s probably a higher-end, acoustic-electric cutaway dreadnought model. Does that sound right, Hey? The Takamine brand is owned by Kaman Musical Instruments, the makers of Ovation guitars - Hey? The Takamine guitars are made in Japan, but current lower-grade Takamines are probably made in Korea or elsewhere in Asia. They are justifiably very popular, and their mid-to-better grade instruments are excellent values, in my opinion. Takamines are SO popular that the typical amateurs who show up for the open mike venues in my area are generically referred to as "Takamine Thumpers." The Takamine name was set up among several Japanese builders when Martin was first looking for an offshore source for what became their low-priced Sigma line, but Kaman closed a deal with Takamine first. In my opinion, most Takamines sound dull acoustically, but really sparkle when plugged in. Their better-grade instruments are desirable to players as utility instruments, but are not of interest to serious collectors. Hold on to it, and take care of it for 20 or 30 years, and it might appreciate ahead of inflation, but don’t plan to retire on it, OK? Even if it's different than some other Takamine models, it's not at all "Rare." By the '90s, guitar makers were taking advantage of CNC (computer-controlled) manufacturing techniques to make umpteeen variations on basic designs. Practically ALL of such guitars, including "limited editions" by USA and foreign makers aren't really rare, they're just morphs of a basic design. Any used guitar is worth only what some buyer is willing to pay for it. If it’s a high-end model in truly dead-excellent condition, it might be worth $800 or more to some buyer, $500-$600 to the general market, and less if it has any issues. If it’s a mid-grade or lower model, consider $400-$500 absolute tops.
