I'm not sure what to make of your question, because usually "pending" is used to indicate that something is in progress, but isn't complete. Under that interpretation, it's the subsidized loan that hasn't been processed yet, and your unsubsidized loan has already been certified and is ready to disburse. (which is the opposite of what you're saying)

Once the school offers you a subsidized loan, they've already done all the EFC evaluation to ensure that you're eligible for the subsidized loan, so it's not like they're suddenly trying to figure out if you're qualified to receive the need-based form of the Stafford.

Also, the subsidized would be applied first, if you're eligible -- so even if your actual cost of attendance didn't make it necessary to take both loans, it would be the subsidized loan that would be applied, and the unsubsidized that was canceled.

Is it possible that your subsidized loan is coming from the government directly (FDSLP) and the unsubsidized is with another lender? That could result in a different processing time.

Are you sure that you actually "accepted" both loans? Different schools have different steps that you have to take to notify the financial aid department that you are accepting (or rejecting) the various forms of aid that were offered to you. Some schools require you to sign and return the offer letter, others allow you go log on to your student account and click "Accept" or "Decline" next to each part of the offer.

If you're worried about this - just go ahead and give the financial aid office a call. It's always possible that something went awry, and if it's going to make you feel better, a phone call can either put your mind at ease, or get everything straightened out.
