Ballet stretching techniques for strengthening calves

Hi! My name is Carrie. This is my 3rd year doing dance. I love it and want to move on to pre pointe next year but I'm having some questions about that.
First off, my mom says that my body is great for dancing. I am really skinny but I do not have an eating disorder nor I am anorexic, it just runs in the family. And I am afraid my calves and other leg muscles are not that strengthened yet. It is really hard for me to keep up on my stretching, and I know if my muscles are not properly strengthened that I should not do Pointe yet
I do not want to start a class like that too late because I love this and want to be really good in it.
So do you have any ideas about this? Maybe some good stretching ideas for my calves or something? I Love this dance, and I really want to succeed. Please reply ASAP

Hello Carrie. It is good that you want to strengthen your legs right now because later in stage, if your legs aren’t strong, you might face severe injury while ballet dancing. Ballet is more than just dancing; it demands balance, flexibility and strong muscles for uplifting the dance and perfect arches to make the dancing swings perfect. The most important part of a ballet dancer's body is the legs, which need to be extremely strong and flexible at all times. To create steely legs for your ballet dances require various strengthening exercises that stretch and tone your leg muscles so that they become strong without looking chunky. Below I have listed some of the leg stretching exercises you might like to practice for strengthening your legs:
    Plies
    Leg Lifts
    Lunges
    Calf Extensions
