How about some fantasy around home? Meaning, not fantasy in the books you’ve stacked or DVDs of fantasy movies, but in objects around you! Or even the tales that weave up in your mind. This one looks straight out of a children’s fantasy film and too good to be true, but if carpets (not flying carpets), hardwood and concrete floors are not the kind that excite you any longer, you can go for little or spread out carpets that, ahem, generate floral patterns with every step on them! Unbelievable, but true. The Blooming Step flooring system is a vinyl carpet which has a non-transparent gel which is static when left on the floor to itself. When you step on it, it appears, it gets unsettled with surface tension, and the flowers on the surface seem to bloom. They disappear just as quickly. It is almost as if you are walking in the room and interacting with the floor around, or playing with flowers that are nothing short of virtual reality. The amazing furniture piece for exquisite home décor has been designed by Tae-Jin Sim. In homes with children around, this is a sureshot winner.
