Hi, Speaker noise occurs when the speaker's coil becomes misaligned as it moves back and forth in the magnet assembly. A quick check would be to gently and evenly press against the speaker’s cone to make it travel up and down in the magnet. If you hear a rubbing sound or feel a gritty feeling as the cone moves, the speaker will need to be replaced. The squeal could be a power supply problem due to one or more of the voltages not coming up to voltage in a timely manner when first turned on. This could be due to a bad electrolytic capacitor. Without additional information, this is the best I can offer. Check out http://www.mitatechs.com/index.html Thanks
