I have a question regarding the wine, St. Francis Old Vines Zinfandel 1997. I have a 1997 magnum of St Francis Zinfandel and I was wondering if it is still drinkable and what is it worth should I decide to sell it? Besides, I need some valuable information so that I can make my decision accordingly.

St. Francis' Reserve Chardonnay is produced primarily from the state of California vineyard which is located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. While the estate vineyard provides the structure and the backbone of the wine, the addition of grapes from nearby vineyards provide the tropical fruit notes and acidity for balance. Talking about Zinfandels, they are not the best wines to be kept for a long time. However, the 1997 one was a very good year, and magnums always age longer than 750ml bottles. Now keeping in view all the circumstances in mind, there is a guess that maybe the wine ought to get sold out for somewhere around $45-60, just because of the magnum; provided that it has been kept it a cool, dark place and it should be in fine shape. On the other hand, it is illegal for private individuals to sell alcohol in the USA. For this reason, it is being advised to either work with an auction house or trade it in to your local wine retailer. The god thing is that either way can give a commission of something like 15 to 20 percent.
