Sound card issue

I record onto a Tascam 2488 then go into a HP Pavillion with a cubase 4 recording program. I also use a Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card. My issue is that I get a ton of noise when I play back. The sound card is clean when I listen to audio online. How do I get rid of the noise when I want to master my recordings?
