When it comes to California king snake the Temperature is VERY important. During the day, I tend to keep the warm side of the cage between 85 -90 degrees. The cooler side between 75 - 80 degrees. Humidity should be lower for king snakes as these are desert dwelling snakes. Between 45 -50 is best.

First of all the Red Tail Boa can live for a very long time and grows to be a big boy; are you sure you want to keep snake that big around. having pass the warning stage knowing the right temperature and keeping it right makes sure your big boy stays healthy. So here you go: -The ambient daytime air temperature throughout the enclosure must be maintained between 82-90 F (28-32 C), -basking area kept at 90-95 F (32-35 C) -At night, the ambient air temperature may be allowed to drop down no lower than 78-85 F (26-30 C)
