First of all there may be many more unfortunate and needy people than me. I will be very honest and open in stating my plea for you to judge the gravity of my predicament.
As a last resort appealing to all you respected people with tears in my eyes, really feeling very humiliated, embarrased heartbroken, hopeless, helpless, forlorn and frustrated. What I have learnt during past few days that this world is very cruel, pitiless, ruthless and does not care or give a sincere person a chance to live with veneration. I trusted on God whom I confided that his people with power to help person in distress will come forward to help me but alas it was all my day dreaming and all my plea's to the so claimed organizations for humanitarian relief have gone unheard or with a big SORRY.
I am a 49 year old Pakistani Muslim belonging to respected and educated family facing financial hardship and in great need of one time financial assistance to stand back on my own feet.
I was jobless for about a year, I lost job in June 2009 when I was working as General Manager in local Shipping Company in Karachi since than the world has turned upside down for me. Due to a very small industry and recession I was unable to find a job which could support to meet my and my family expenses. I have a wife, 2 kids, my mother and sister to support.
We are living in a rented apartment have to pay utility bills, education fee of my children (one is studying in a business school (IBA Karachi) and the other one in 'O' levels) and providing food and clothing etc.
In June 2010 after running for job finally I decided to take up any job even if low salaried and joined a company where I am getting salary which is very meager even insufficient to pay the rent of our apartment (My present salary is Rs.15,000 / pm and my wife teaches english in school where she is earning Rs.17,000 / pm). To most people our earnings seem to be sufficient but education, rent, bills, food, transportation, clothing etc are not easy to manage from this.
Somehow I have been dragging for last one and half year managing from my little savings and by borrowing from relatives, friends.
I feel humiliated to ask further from relatives and friends.
I have not been able to give the rent of my apartment since last few months and hence has been asked to vacate the same by the LandLady till 15th of this month besides I have to clear my debts also.
Since last 18 years I have been working part time designing clothes for women with the help of my sister who deals with client and operating from home. I am quiet confident and trust on God that if I expand this business I could generate enough income to support my family with dignity but the hindrance is investment, but than have to live in the same place and moving to any place where the rent is low the opportunity is very bleak.
If I can get one time financial assistance I can stand back on my own feet.
I cannot write in words the pain and agony I am suffering through, your help can save a family in distress. Even few people besides all you from your fraternity can contribute a little it will save us.
