Should the Champions League go back to a knock-out format?

Chelsea struggle to sell out their home games in the Champions League; no one cares about Liverpool vs Debrecen, save the Debrecen fans; there are on average six matches per group which mean absolutely nothing as teams have already qualified.
Should UEFA look into changing the format back to a straight knock-out format? It would generate much more interest in the games as each one would actually be meaningful. They could just increase prize money to satisfy the teams’ desire for more income and only rewarding those teams who find success.
The TV channels would also be appeased, as although they might have less games to show, there would be more people tuning in to watch.

I think the knockout format will make it intresting for a lot of people but then there would not be that much enthusiasm in the game, as if some team plays well and still loses their moral would be down and the game would be more oriented towards 1-0 margin wins and players would tend to steal the game rather than playing to their best. This format gives equal chances to all the teams and it is always intresting to watch teams struggle through different stages.
