Glen Johnson may have looked impressive going forward for Liverpool and England but the defensive side of his game needs working on, and Wes Brown could deputise in the meantime.

    First, Brown needs to be fully fit. Glen Johnson has enjoyed a great start to his Liverpool career and is a real threat going forward. However, defensive frailties in his game remains, which will be ironed out during his time at Anfield. For the game against Croatia, Johnson should be first choice.
