Should I be "fair" and let older sister pee in shower too?

My niece and nephew are staying with me while their single mom is on a business trip.
The boy is just potty-trained and was leaving huge puddles where he missed the toilet.
I caught him. He came in while I was brushing my teeth, lifted the lid and seat. I glanced down to see him spraying the underside of the now raised seat. Point it down, point it down I shouted. Startled, he turned and total missed.
As he helped me clean up, I asked why he didn't point his thingy down at the water. It is too hard, he said. Next time come get me instead of making a mess I scolded.
After lunch he did. Doing the 'dance' he shyly said he needed help.
At toilet he dropped his pants to the floor and his thingy was pointed straight up! I bent over and tried to point it to the water and he cried out that it hurt. I slid open the door to the walk-in shower and turned him there. He peed up the shower wall, but the floor stayed clean. Try that for now I told him.
With no further accidents, I thought myself clever for solving a 'boy' problem. That was yesterday. Today before lunch I saw his sister, who is in first grade, standing at the shower pants at ankles hips thrust forward cleanly going into the shower.
This time I did NOT startle ( I can learn), but waited a few moments until she was done.
What are you doing; you pee in the potty I said. But [her brother] does it, she explained.
I told her she was older, and didn't have problems at the toilet.
She whined, But I never got to when I was little. It's not FAIR.
Ok, she's got me there. Should let her continue? Or should I tell her the rules are different for boys?
