Shortest public transit rout between Mississauga (SQ One/Cooksville) and Hamilton (Brock University)

I live in Mississauga and will be attending Brock university. After researching, it seems like all of the trains go to Union in TO before heading towards Hamilton? What is the fastest way? Thanks very much :)
