Can you tell me about Shirley Coates & Harry Spear.

I have the Little Rascals book from Maltin & Bann and have read it thoroughly. I have also checked out several web pages regarding the comedies and you appear to be the expert. I am curious if you have any information on Shirley Coates. She appeared in several of the comedies but was never mentioned in any of the biographies I have seen. What happened to her after the series and do you know if she is still living. Also, the great Harry Spear mystery. I apologize if you have already solved this one and it is somewhere on your webpage, but is Harry still living or is that still an unknown fact. I have read accounts of both in various books and web pages.

Shirley Coates was born in 1927, She worked in many short and other big projects, she appeared in MGM shorts rather than she appeared in the Hal Roach studios, she even continued her acting even after she left the series. She is sometimes related to the actress Phyllis Coates, who played Lois Lane in the TV series, the adventure of superman. She did total of 7 shorts which are

Harry Spear was born on December 16, 1921 and died on September 22,2006. She was a former American child actor, she was famous for her appearance in the Our Gang short subjects series which started from 1927 and lasted till 1929. He belonged to the city of Los Angeles, the state of California.
