Hi

Recently I purchased a 2007 caliber with Dunlop tires. Each tire has ripples in the sidewall. Is this normal? I need some good piece of information related to Ripples, as I have less information related to Ripples.
I hope you will guide me in this regard and solve this mystery.

Thanks

    Hello there

Do not worry about ripples and feel free to drive your car, as there are no negative effects on the wheels.

If you mean small indentations that are in the sidewall that are radically out like the spokes on a wheel, then. Yes, that is normal and there is no need to be worried about. There comes a variety of tires which have ripples but it is normal and people are using such type of tires without any problem. So do not worry about ripples and feel free to drive your car.

A bulge you be a concern, but an indentation is caused by the overlapped cords and that would make the tire stronger in that area. Still if you have some confusion about ripples, share it with me right here, as I am here to give you some reliable information about cars and tires. I am grateful to be of your help. I hope you are satisfied now.

You know, I owned several trucks and I have not seen any problems, while facing the same issue like you said earlier.

According to my understanding it is normal and there is no problem with ripples.

    Thanks
