You need to resets your airbag when warning light in a 2000 VW Beetle may come on. It is because of the malfunction of your car airbags. In that case you must know that how to fix this problem. You must be familiar to reset the airbag warning light in your 2000 VW Beetle once the airbag assembly is fixed. The warning light may stay on until you reset it manually. For this, you will require a special tool available from 2000 VW Beetle, known as a diagnostic reset tool.

First of all you need to open the fuse panel which is located underneath the steering wheel column.
Now you will insert the pinned connector given with diagnostic reset tool into the pinned receiver input which is on the fuse panel.
Move the ignition key to the position of "II" and then wait for a few seconds for the diagnostic reset tool to stop flashing. Your airbag warning light should be reset once it stops blinking.
I hope this will be very helpful for you. Now you can easily fix it by yourself.
