Hydrostatic pressure has caused my basement wall to bow in approximately 1" due to heavy rains over the years. Need to install support beams from floor joists to basement concrete floor. Can I use 2x6x10 or do I have to use steel. Just had professionals waterproof the basement - how to secure beams to concrete floor without likelihood of water leaking onto basement floor?
