Real Madrid’s Bernabeu final written in the stars?

If Real Madrid reach the final of the Champions League, they will have a superb chance of lifting the trophy for a tenth time as it is to be hosted on home turf at the Bernabeu. Is it fate that they will reach the final next May?

The match will be played at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, Spain. The MLS Select squad will be the first U.S. team ever to participate in the prestigious match, which traditionally marks Real Madrid's last preseason game prior to the new European soccer season. The team recently concluded a successful two-game tour of the United States, its first since 1990. Steve Nicol, head coach of the New England Revolution, will direct the MLS Select Team in Tuesday's contest. Making this historic trip to Madrid will be MLS stars Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Amado Guevara (MetroStars), Ronnie O'Brien (FC Dallas), Jaime Moreno (D.C. United) and MLS's leading scorer this season, Jeff Cunningham (Colorado Rapids).
