I have a Dometic RM6401; the 12v/240v works, the gas doesn't.

My batteries are in good shape (in fact, I've even tried running gas when the engine is running and the batteries in float at max charge) but when I try the gas it quits on me.

When I try to get it started I hear the piezo clicking and the soft pop of the gas lighting. I hold it there for about half a minute and after a while it switches off.

A Corgi non-frig man was on board and we pulled the frig out to have a look. We confirmed the flame lit but it wouldn't stay alight. We noticed that a small plastic container below what appeared to be an overflow pipe was broken but couldn't see anything else obvious.

Is there a thermostat controlling the gas flame? I'm on a narrowboat and have tried finding caravan/frig specialists to come out but so far without luck. We are located in the West Midlands but ill be moving down towards London on our summer cruise from mid-June.

Any ideas as to how/where I might get this fixed?
