Puppies won't eat puppy food but loves mom's food. I have a 7 mo. yorkie that is just like that.

I have a 7 mo. yorkie that is just like that. Should I continue to give him mom's food? If I continue with mom's food, what veggies can I give him"? What meat and/or fish can I give him that will be safe and healthy for my puppy?
