Problems logging into MCK Extender 6000 console port

Can't login to mck extender 6000 console port using Procomm or Hyperterminal at 9,600, 8-N-1, XON/OXOFF, VT100. If boot MCK, see it boot, but comes back and says "Auto-detecting console modem...please wait" and tosses me the AT Command, and never sees my laptop. Have tried two different laptops and multiple MCKs. I'm missing the secret code.

Been there & done that. You are most likely using a newer laptop with a USB to serial adapter. If you can disconnect the unit & move it to a workstation with a real com port on it, it should work fine. I’ve been told that its due to the lack of a IRQ on the USB type devices.
