Problem with shotgun - Savage model 30E pump action - 410 gauge; 3" chamber. I have this

I have this shotgun which jams after each firing; I can load it up with shells and pump them all through the chamber with smooth ejections everytime on a dry run but as soon as I fire off a round the shell binds in the barrel preventing the breach from opening and ejecting the shell. I have cleaned it well and find no visible damage to the brass once I get the gun unjammed. There is no real change in the diameter of the brass except for a few thousands. The spent shell goes into the barrel freely so I am at a dead end so far. Has anyone ever had similar problems with similar symptoms to help me diagnose this problem.

The chamber is dirty or rough, probably both. Break the shotgun down and use some steel wool wrapped on a wooden dowl chucked in a drill and spin it in the chamber. You might have to go as far as using a brake wheel cylinder hone. Those can be bought at any local auto parts store. After honing the cylinder a little, assemble and try the shotgun until you no longer have an extraction problem. BTW, you really should advise what brand, model, and guage of shotgun you are having a problem with. It kind of like asking "I've got a car that wont start, what's wrong with it?". Hope this helps.
