With no SCART or HDMI connection on the HT UP30, I wanted to use the Component Out (3 phono plugs) from the Progressive Scan on the DVD/Home Theatre System into my new LCD TV - I understood this to be the preferred option/best quality. However, the picture flashes and I was wondering if this is because the Progressive Scan feature on the HT UP30 operates at 50hz, whereas the LE40C65011W LCD TV is 100hz. Is this connection possible or incompatible? If so, can I only use the lower quality AV connection? Finally, when viewing from USB on TV, should I connect to the HT UP30 using Digital Audio Out (optical)?
Many thanks
