Pontiac G5 GT sub and amp hook up. i need to know if there is a stock amp already inside the car

i need to know if there is a stock amp already inside the car powering the factory system. because as far as i know you need a amp to power a sub

    It differs with each car but even if there IS an amp in the car, it would only have enough power to power the factory installed sound device, speakers, sub, etc. If you are thinking about putting a sub into the car, you need an aftermarket amplifier to power them. Hope it helps!
