Philips Plasma TV model 42PF7520D

Have a digital camera and trying to view pics through the TV via AV on side connections of the TV with cables supplied with camera. TV will not let me choose the AV option. Camera switched on and on right setting (as shown in manual) but nothing appearing on TV.Any suggestions please?
