Brad Haddin’s return to Australia due to injury after the Ashes has provided Tasmanian wicketkeeper/batsman Time Paine with the ideal chance to make his case for the role.

    It will always be a tough ask to fill the role of wicketkeeper/batsman in teh Australian team in the wake of Adam Gilchrist's performance in the role, but in over 50 ODIs, Brad Haddin seems to have entrenched himself in the role. Tim Paine is not without competition for the role as Haddin's back-up, and a strong performance against England could put the Tasmanian at the front of the queue.
