   First you turn the printer off and on to check if it can automatically clear jam. There are many models of the printers that provide an error-code list on the front panel display. If your printer is showing an error code, check the printer manual to identify the paper jam location in the printer.
   Try to pull the jammed paper out if it is visible in the printer. If not, then open the top of the printer to get the jammed piece of paper.
   Hold the paper and pull out gently. If the printer persist the problem of paper jamming, inspect the rollers to make sure that they are obtaining the paper and pulling it along the paper route properly.
   Check the paper path for any blockages, and clear if found. Also, inspect the other parts that the paper passes through, to make sure that they are not dirty or gummy. If any dirt or other particles are found, clean them and try again.
