I ant to know few things about oscilloscope component measurement. I think the result of the time constant would be different if it was placed across a different component. can someone help me

Oscilloscope have many unique feature due to which users can take the advantage of only a small fraction of the powerful features available to them. Digital storage oscilloscopes have many types which are different from one another in term of form factor (stand-alone, PXI, VXI, PCI, etc), resolution (8-bit, 12-bit, 16-bit, etc), acquisition rates (1 MS/sec, 1 GS/sec, 40 GS/sec, etc), functionality (advanced triggering, deep memory, self-calibration, etc.) and many other. An important differentiation of true oscilloscopes from most PC-based is to have the modular digitizer’s ability and the algorithms which are used to complete the measurements. Vertical-axis measurements examine the vertical component of the applied signal. These measurements most often tell a signal in terms of a voltage level. Although, they can also correspond to current, power, or any other physical phenomena converted to voltage through a transducer. Some general vertical-axis measurements include Amplitude, Peak-To-Peak, Average, and RMS measurements. The oscilloscope’s measurements effect greatly if its resolution have some problem .Oscilloscope measurements can be classified into the following three categories: • Vertical-Axis • Horizontal-Axis • Frequency-Domain
