Olympus FE-4000

I purchased and Olympus FE-4000 camera just before thanksgiving. I've used it once (the day after thanksgiving) and since then it has sat on my table untouched. Today I turned it on to use it and the screen stayed blank, the lens wouldn't come out, and the lens did not open. The on light came on and the camera beeped three times. Pressing the button to take pictures did nothing but cause it to beep three more times. What is wrong with the camera?
