The Nuns and handshaking.

I want to know that would it would be alright for a Nun to shake hand or to hold the hand of a stranger as per the religious norms stated in The Bible. In case if it not allowed, can a Nun go on to do this so as to bless someone or to help someone in an emergency situation?
