No video with p4 cpu specs 2.8ghz 533 fsb 1gb...

I put the cpu in my motherboard, turn on the system, the power comes up but no video comes up on my monitor, normally I have a celeron processor, in the system specs on the celeron is this 2.6ghz 400 fsb 128k L2 cache and the system works great with that cpu, could this be a cpu problem, or my motherboard does not support the prescott CPU?
