When we think of "chick cars" and the way they relate to the Fast and Furious film franchise, we think of candy-colored machines that are covered in anime girls, hearts, ponies, or anything else that a middle-aged male movie producer would consider "girl friendly". Luckily, in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, the "chick car" of the movie is the RX-8 you see here. For me, this car is a bit of a mixed bag. You see, the other Tokyo Drift cars have actually looked like real drift/performance cars. We applauded the fact that these movie cars didn't fall victim to the "paint-it-neon-and-throw-a-bunch-of-stickers-on-it" design scheme that the cars in the previous F&F movies did. Sure, this car isn't as "loud" as any of the main cars of F&F pictures past, but it still isn't something we'd call pretty. The only thing really "ruining" this car (at least in my eyes) is the paint. Sure, it's technically a solid and well-done paint job, but we've never been fans of the two-tone look -- especially when the two tones in question are black and neon blue. If this car were sprayed in only shades of black and gray, we'd be cool with it. But in this case, the front end looks like one of those Harry Potter-edition Jelly Bellies.
