18 months ago I underwent decompression surgery for an impingement in my left shoulder. 4 months after surgery the pain came back. Not only is it worse but my range of motion is now limited. My doctor sent me for another MRI and is sending me to another orthopedic surgeon. I have the MRI pictures and result from the radiologist that I will be taking with me. I am curious what some of the finding mean before I go in.
It says the osseous structures demonstrates signal abnormalities at the AC joint felt consistent with previous AC joint decompression. So is the abnormality actually now normal because of the surgery or does that mean that even though I had surgery that it is still abnormal?
It also says there is signal abnormality in the anterior labrum at the 1:00 and 2:00 location of uncertain chronicity. Finding favor most likely a sublabral foramen versus partially scarred down nondisplaced anterior labral tear. I have know clue what that means? Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Ginger
