I watched Part Of a Classic Based On True Story Movie On A Regular TV Channel. This Was A While Ago, But This Movie Left An Impact In My Heart, and would like to watch the whole movie again. The story is about an older airline pilot who divert his 747 airplane off course with the approval of all passengers, to rescue a lost private young pilot flying a single engine plain, when his instruments failed to function and after the rescue both pilots became very good friends. I thank you in advance for any information you can give me.

There are lot of movies that have airplanes or aviation as a central plot line of the movie. Most of these movies are about pilots and squadrons. Some of these movies are of Air Force type while another are specifically war type. Some of the best airplane movie include The Aviator, this movie is about a Howard Hughes who is very good actor and also there were some very good performances by Leonardo DiCarrio, Cat Blanchett and Alan Alda. The main highlight of the movie were Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Air Force One is a good Harrison Ford thriller. There were lots of airplane crash movies which were filmed in the 1970s and that became very popular and successful. Some of the other plane crash movies are Air Force One which was released in the year 1997. Another movie about airplane crash is Executive Decision which was released in 1996. Top Gun is another movie which was released in the year 1985.
