This typewriter is used in an elementary school. We had a break-in and glass was in the machine. We sent to district maintenance office for cleaning. The machine was sent back to us and only makes a continuous beeping sound when turned on. The repair man was aware of this, but said without a manual, he wasn't sure what he could do, and couldn't do an operational test. We are unaware if other damage was done to the machine, because we didn't turn it on or try to use it after the break-in, we just sent it in for cleaning.
