Getting paid work placement in New York City.

My name is Bhavesh and I am from Sheffield and just about to move to London and start a degree in Music and Media management at London Met. As a part of the course we have the option of doing a one year work placement. I am wanting to know what would be the best way to get a one year paid work placement in New York City working in the music industry. I am wanting to land an A and R job but of course I will take any job that looks good with a major label.Can you recommend any work agencies within New York which can help me get a job in this specific industry or be able to point me in the right direction to getting a job in NYC.

The best way to find a work placement is either through search engine which is very common. Besides, there are some work placement agencies as well which help you in getting a suitable job for yourself. Once you will get the job either you will have to pay them a certain amount out of your salary or the employer will make an appropriate deduction from your salary. The only other option is that you seek help from the print media, by giving an advertisement in the daily newspaper describing all your qualifications and abilities. Sooner or later you shall be contacted by an employer who might possibly have an appropriate post suiting your requirements.
