HI, I have set up an SBS 2000 system including Symantec Norton Antivirus corporate edition 7.5.  I have been having all kinds of problems with connectivity between the server and workstations.  I have now tracked down the main culprit to be the auto-protect options on NAVCE.  The network is run on a 10/100 switching hub (Allied Telesyn AT FH724SW).   Turning off all realtime protection solves virtually all of the connectivity issues, but this makes the main point of the antivirus software somewhat redundant.  I have been through Symantecs performance vs protection issues and re- enabled arts of it but more problems creep in.  Allied Telesyn suggested that NAVCE might require a switch running at full duplex for it to work as the system is fine on a little mini hub with no switching module running at 10mbps only. Any advice or help would be GREATLY appreciated as ny hair is turning grey over this one!
