My car will stuttuer, die and restart

I have a 97 honda passport that will drive, stutter, die and then restart. After the car stutters it will begin to loose acceleration until it shuts itself off. It will restart right away and acceleration will be fine until it happens again, which can be 3 minutes or 30 minutes

     There is some sort of issue with the point of the car. When it gets heated the car stops and when it cool down the car again starts. For more details you need to take your car to a garage and then you will find out the real story over there from an expert.
