I entered into a 1 year verbal lease 9 months ago, my landlord wants me to move out, I have never missed a payment, nor have their been any problems, he simply bought the property next to me and now he wants to live in this property and run a business out of the newly acquired property. He told me when he leased the property to me that he had been screwed by written contracts in the past (he is a 60 year old farmer) and he would like to just do a verbal lease rather than risk me hiding something in the paperwork. Now it is he who is trying to pull a fast one, do I have any protection?
