My Dyson Animal DC25 keeps having the red light flash and the brush stops turning

My Dyson Animal DC25 is giving me fits. It is brand new maybee used 5 or 6 times and the red light flashes and the brush stops on pile settings on carpet. I have cleand the brush and checked for clogs as the manual stated.

     I had the same problem on my DC33.  What this is telling you is that there is a blockage in the one of the vacuum tubes or the filter and that to avoid the system overheating, the Dyson has turned itself off.  Clear the blockage and things will be fine.  It would have been nice if Dyson had stated what the flashing red light was in either the user manual or their website support page, but they didn't....simply a stunning oversight.
