I had a aspire netbook previously and it did the exactly the ame thing so I had to get a new one. My current netbook has done this one before but fixed itself without any problems, this time it won't budge

    My wife's netbook had the same problem. If th battery is completely dead, the little power supply/charger has to charge the battery for a while befor it will boot properly. I used our son's ACER laptop supply (bigger supply and same interface) and the netbook booted up fine even with a complete drained battery. Apparently the power supply that comes with the netbook is marginal. Either always make sure the charger keeps the battery charged or pick up a larger power supply/charger. Remeber, the battery can get weak just by storing it for a few weeks without the charger attached.
