My 8 month puppy won't eat.

I just got my yorkie/pomeranian and he is 8 months old. My wife and I can't seem to get him to eat anything. It seems the only thing that works is feeding him a little cheese on his dry dog food, but even then, it seems like it will only eat the cheese. Does anyone know why?

    i have the same problem but i try not to feed him any human food he seems to like canned science diet puppy food usually
